Join us as we explore a little of Pennsylvania. We will make a stop for lunch, enroute to Williamsport. Our first stop will be at the Thomas T. Taber Museum to discover the major events of the region’s history and view exhibits of everyday life. You will also enjoy their toy train exhibition with over 300 toy trains. Then we will have a guided tour of “Millionaires’ Row”. In the late 1800’s West Fourth Street was the crown jewel of Williamsport when this city was home to more millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the country. See the homes and hear the stories of the rich and famous! We will complete our afternoon with a ride on the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat. Our included dinner will be at the Fry Brothers’ Turkey Ranch, where they have been serving delicious homemade meals since 1939 at the top of Steam Valley Mountain. FRIDAY OCTOBER 27, 2023
This morning we drive to Wellsboro to explore the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. We will board horse-drawn covered wagons to ride along the Pine Creek Rail Trail, and listen to tour guide tell the tale of the history of the Canyon going back to the 19th Century. After our wagon ride, we will enjoy a cowboy cookout that is sure to have your taste buds craving more and your belly full. After lunch we will go to the Leonard Harrison State Park overlook to look down into the canyon and see where we just traveled and then spend some time on Wellsboro’s Main Street to give you time to explore and shop. Then, after a full two days of exploring, we will turn the motor coach toward home. BL
